We have used our ICT skills to word process our Easter Egg names. We have changed the size, colour and font.
Year 2 have been making arrays, and exploring division using grouping and sharing. One of our remote learners has done 'maths with a difference'. She has made an array of fairy cakes and has now been set the following challenges:
Can you share your cakes equally with everyone in your family?
How many will they each have?
Will there be any left over?
What if you made double the amount...how many would you have then?
Great Remote Learning from one of our Year 2’s and her sister in Reception! One of Y2’s REAL projects was to make something from recyclable materials and Reception had to make a house from an empty cereal box for one of their school activities. So.... they decided that they would both make one and then ....why not try and make a street? They also made some street lamps, a post box, a road and used the castle and drawbridge at the end of the road, with a camp site next to the castle. Amazing work girls!
We have planted some bulbs. This is what they look like now. What will they look when they are fully grown? Watch this space!
Here are some of the eggs Year 2 have made in school. If you have made one at home we would love to share pictures of those too!
Autumn Term 2020

Peer critiquing our animal habitats before we add more details.
‘Now you see me .........now you don’t’
Our virtual zoo is well on the way. The clay animals are now dry and we have begun creating their habitats.
No downtime here! We have finished our habitat box and are now on to Bug Club.
