Autumn 2021
Christmas
What a wonderful week we have had in year 1!
We have been so busy recording our Christmas showcases and story. The children have been busy creating decorations for the classrooms, from Christmas wreaths, Rocking Robins and many things in between (not forgetting our wonderful Christmas cards!).
Children in Need
It was fantastic to welcome everybody into class today dressed up in spots, pyjamas or even as Pudsey!
To celebrate Children in Need, we came together as year for an assembly talking about what the charity does and how we have helped. We also joined in we PE with Joe Wicks and had a super time trying to answer all his questions.
Anti-Bullying Week
For anti-bullying week, we wore odd socks and talked about why it is important we celebrate each being unique.
I our classes we created a friendship wreath of all our hands listing all the different things that make a good friend. What different reasons can you spot in our pictures?
Remembrance day
Year 1 discussed what Remembrance Day is and what we do to remember those who have died or fought in wars.
We made our own Poppies to go together on a class wreath which we displayed on our doors for the week.
